After hosting many Hwatu Nights in Portland, and one in Los Angeles, a new graphic was created to mark the first event in New York City - designed exclusively for the 05.23.24 gathering.

The event took place at Hana Makgeolli, a Brooklyn-based brewery rooted in traditional Korean brewing methods, carrying forward a long and rich history of alcohol fermentation in Korea.

The graphic was hand-drawn using oil pastels, thoughtfully created with Hana Makgeolli’s aesthetics in mind - craft, tradition, history, and the celebration of Korean culture.

The night itself brought the community together in a powerful, memorable way - a true reflection of what Hwatu Night is all about.
