Chains and locks are everywhere -- whether they're locking up garbage cans on subway station platforms, construction sites, or bicycles used for delivering our favorite take-out, they are essential to the city. The "CHECKERED CHAIN" print is a hand-drawn and painted illustration allover design of chains and locks found around New York City.

The hand-drawn key is a replication of the front door key of ILGI's studio. Incorporating sentimental objects into the design captures these special memories and is saved as physical and living documentation.
